These look great Geoff...I guess you didn't have to travel to Long Island in beautiful weather rather than a blizzard to get oyster catchers. I see you really need to keep the shutter speeds up with this body/lens combo...need to make a mental note of that!

Thanks Eric. When you are bobbing around in the ocean having a higher SS helps for sure. That said, once on dry ground the camera does just find at slow SS.
Another terrific set of images with this combo Geoff... #1 is really good. Well done.
I haven't purchased this lens yet as I'm enjoying the IQ with the 500 f/4 so far... we'll see how much longer I'm willing to tote around the 10 pound beast.
