Received a contract today stating:
Can anyone confirm/deny that payments older than 60 days are starting to be settled? I'm not exactly in a position to turn down jobs ($$$) on days I'm free, but I would greatly appreciate knowing a reasonable window of when that will be. I'm fine to wait 60 days if its actually 60 days. I am less fine with "eventually," bordering on "never"
I'll be at 90 days without payment as of this coming Sunday.

Sad to see they are pretty much lying to you. I'm early May and still nothing. I wouldn't trust them at this point based on their track record.

Recently received several jobs emailed from them - each multiple times. The latest have a blurb saying payment delays are being resolved . . .
Plan on waiting to hear from someone this is truly the case before spending a day shooting for them.
That's terrible. It's one thing to have money issues. It's another to lie to people. Myself and others are going on 4 months of not getting paid.

Being that they have not paid many of you,, they have not fulfilled their contractual obligation. I still don't understand why you guys have not at least sent cease and desist take down notices to all the events who are now illegally posting and using your copyrighted work. Let them put the pressure on GFM, these sponsors won't want to upset their event participants.

Here is the exact wording:
"Notes: We are currently experiencing a delay in payments to photographers. We are slowly, but surely, getting caught up on payments and resuming our normal pay timelines. Please do not accept this contract if you are not prepared to wait longer than normal for payment. Thank you for your understanding, and consideration."
I think it's great they acknowledged the issue, but would like to hear proof they are actually paying someone.

Just chiming in again. I had a few more people ive worked with before and they all threatened lawsuits to GF Execs and immediately got paid that week in full. Sounds like that's the way to go if you want to get paid soon.

can you post the content of that letter? identifying info redacted, of course
also, did the people sending in these letters continue to hold future contracts/show up to immediate events?

Been getting multiple emails from them desperate to get photogs to events. They are paying $50 and hour with guaranteed hours, but until they are regularly paying without threatening a lawsuit I have no interest.
p.8 #16 · Gameface media - heads up on getting paid
I have only been paid for one event so far this year it was my first event of this year on May 1st 2016 and they did pay me almost 60 days after the event.
However I have not been paid for any events in July, August or September. My July events just hit the 60 day mark and I emailed Marty and Brent to inquire and received this reply "Unfortunately I don't have any new information at this time. I'm sorry. We do have investor money and accounts receivable coming in but I can't be specific to any timeline. I apologize for this extreme inconvenience:"
really disappointing and hoping for the best here - I'm owed about $2,500 currently.

It's been over FOUR MONTHS since I worked an event for Gameface and they have yet to pay. I have contacted them over and over and continued to receive kindly worded emails that say "Sorry, we are getting to it." FOUR MONTHS. And there were only two photographers at this event, so the total amount they have to pay is under $600, yet they are incapable of paying it. I know photographers that they owe thousands to. They are not paying photographers, but yet they are using their work to make money. The photos posted, their clients fulfilled, but they aren't paying the people that did the work.

It's all generic now. They just send out emails that say we are on may payments and you will be paid. They are at the point where they really don't care about their reputation and they have accepted that some people will move on and never shoot for them again.
My guess is they will have to take on new investors to get caught up but it might be hard with a bad reputation at this point. I am very Leary to shoot for them again. I think I will probably be paid for my early summer work but it's about 50/50 they survive the slow season so I don't think I will shoot for them on events now forward

Brian Walker sent out that email promising a phone call if you wanted one. I took him up on the offer. Left a voicemail and sent him an email with several large chunks of time when I could be reached. Nothing. I'm now approaching 5 months and haven't been paid.
I get the not having money to pay people stuff. Business happens, that's life. I struggle with the fact that some people are getting paid that worked well after me. And, I struggle with these unfulfilled promises of trying to seem nice with phone calls that never happen

Add me to the list of people who have not been paid.
$700+ from two races back in the spring of 2016. I recently got "terminated" because they sent me an approval on Friday afternoon for a Saturday race and I didn't show up. What a joke of a company.
If anyone is going to do a class action lawsuit, count me in.
