Took me a few days of searching to find it. No footprints - except Desert Bighorn...
Extremely well composed shot and perfect timing as far as time of the day. The sun just hitting the middle ground emphasizes the layers in the landscape.
I also agree that the tree anchors the composition in a very effective way with just a touch of light to accentuate its structure.
