A week ago, my wife and I spent the weekend camping a few hundred feet from Lower Lewis River Falls, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite waterfalls in the Pacific Northwest. It was nice to have an entire weekend at this location to see what I could capture. I spent Saturday morning wading around in the water and didn't see another soul for the few hours I was down there. I was excited to find the water dripping off the cliff near these mossy rocks, so I tried several compositions working these additional "falls" into my shots. This one was my favorite. Around the time I took this, the sun started poking out off and on, which illuminated the mist above the falls.
I just finished up my initial processing job, and I'd love some feedback on this one. Thank you!

Stunning image Kris. Not much I can pick apart here. I really like this. If I was forced, and this is super tiny, is to tame the highlights on the black rock in the upper left corner. The highlights are a touch too strong.
Oh yes! Lovely comp, color and mist. And nice choice on focal length. They way you framed the small falls in foreground makes this uniquely strong. Dave

Thank you, Scott! Good point regarding the highlights in the upper-left corner. I'll tone those down a bit before I finalize this one.

Hey Kris,
I sure like this one. What a wonderful composition. And very nice light. It's great to see a natural looking image.

Thanks, Jim! I'm glad it came out natural looking, especially since quite a bit of processing went into this one (particularly blending shots together for dynamic range, focus, and water flow).

Thanks, Dave! I appreciate your comments on the composition.
I almost skipped looking at this one since I have seen one too many silky smooth waterfall images.
I am glad I looked. This one is special: great composition, great colors, nice mist above the waterfall and the two foreground features on the left side are special. This is not only well executed but a notch above the usual.

Beautiful capture. Well composed and those greens show well under the soft lighting.
Thanks, Dave! The weather was perfect for the soft lighting, especially under the edge of the cliff where I took this. That, combined with the sun occasionally poking out, provided a lot of options.

That's a really nice image, like the composition, plus the straight down small falls on the left side look really special.
Great Job.
