I am so sad to read this.
My condolences to all his friends and family.
Like many, I learned so much from his site when I started digital photograph, and I always loved the very special tone of his articles and reviews, and of the LL videos.
Now that I remember these years, I think I can say his site is what got me interested in doing digital prints myself, getting the stages of the process right (with the videos with Jeff Schewe), and experimenting with various fine art papers. This made my photography hobby so much more fun. What a great trip I owe him!
Very sad news! I enjoyed reading Michaels articles since the beginning of digital age. He presented his personal and interesting view of digital photography. Just like Xavier, LL got me interested in digital prints so that I finally purchased a large format printer.
My condolences to his family and friends.

Sad to hear about Michael's passing. He was one of my early "photo heroes" and his Bangladesh book was one of my first coffee table photo books. RIP. My condolences to his family, friends, Fred and everybody who knew him.
Very sorry to hear the news... My condolences to his family. Thanks Michael for all that you have done for photography. You will be greatly missed but not forgotten.
So sad to hear this. I wasn't reading LL regularly - maybe I should have - but what I did read, was always enlightening and fun to study. Condolences to all the friends and family.

It is a sad day for all of us in the photography community who have followed Michael Reichman over the years and who have benefitted from his work as shared on that site.
I agree --- his site was a big help in the transition to digital. I think I own all his "Video Journals" and most of his more recent LR classes with Jeff Schewe. I also participated in a one-day workshop with him in Toronto several years ago. Great fellow. He will be missed. Condolences to the family and his close friends.
