I also have an old OM Zuiko 55/1.2 lens but I have not used it even once. My 2 favorite lenses would be the Nocticron and the 300/4 PRO. I would love to own the 25/1.2 as well ... but I have been thinking about getting the A7R II for landscape work ... so we'll see.

No interest in the 12-100? I owned the 12-40 before and really liked it. I'm unsure whether I would be ok with the 12-100's size and f/4. It has the same filter size as the 40-150 and fully extended out its the same size as the 40-150. I'm pretty sure I'll go with the 12-40/40-150 combo, if only because they're both on sale now and it's bad enough that I'm buying a body and a lens at full retail price, buying two Pro lenses at full retail price might be too much.

Quick question. How can I set the AEL AFL button to be focus and the shutter button to just trip the shutter? thanks.

Interesting. I also own your listed m43 lenses, except for the 75/1.8.
Same favorites including MC-14, closely followed by 7-14/2.8 Pro and 40-150/2.8 Pro.

Without any doubt, the A7r2 is my favorite and most used camera, not just for landscapes.
Eye-AF works like magic, as does the TechArt Pro (TAP) autofocus adapter.

And I constantly plan to sell my A7RII. Its sensor is great, but I miss my Olympus and Canon gear when I use the Sony. To each his own.

Have you not seen Bobby's shots in the OMD thread? They are amazing, except we have to remember one thing. Our results WILL be slightly less appealing.

Do you mean you want the back button to control focus? Check out this link:

Well, and so it goes. I still have my Nikon D800E and Leica M9.
The good part is all those many lenses than can be adapted to the Sony and Olympus cameras.
I like being able to use different systems, including FF, APS-C, and m43.

I will. If the weather is good this Sunday, and it should be, I am planning to shoot the Cedar Waxwings.

Thank you, Thomas!

Here's a sample of my earlier shots (earlier this year) with the 300/4 and MC-14.

No, not at this time anyway. I think I have too many m43 lenses already. Besides, f4 is a little slow for my taste - and bokeh won't be as sweet.

I hope someone will start a new thread, "Olympus E-M1 Mark II Action Images".

Would be a nice change from this 40-so-far page thread.

Wouldn't I need the camera to do that

I am probably going to be selling mine. The sensor is great, but I've now tried living with enough Sony cameras that I've come to realize I just don't enjoy them. I have much more fun with m43 and Fuji gear. For example, the Sony 55/1.8 is a killer lens, maybe my favorite for that mount, but I get more shots in focus with the Oly 25/1.2 on a lowly E-M5, and I prefer its color as well. My only holdup is that I may miss the camera for landscapes.

Thars what I found as well. I liked the results out of my a7rII but not without more PP than I'm used to doing. Also the shooting experience itself wasn't enjoyable. I'm doing a lot more mobile editing and quick workflow on my iPad which makes having separate card slots that much easier. Try shooting raw and JPEG on an a7rII and see how many images you can import, maybe 80 or so before I run out of space.

I also don't shoot as much landscapes as I want to because of my kids, so pure IQ is low on my list of priorities.

No, not really.
Simply start the thread "Olympus E-M1 Mark II Action Images" and invite folks to contribute.
I am sure pretty soon there will be some images.

Mine is shipping today directly from Olympus. The extra battery and grip was easier to buy from B and H, where they have them in stock.
