Yes, I know that. I just think it should be started by a person that is using the camera.
Just picked up an E-M1 Mark II and 12-100 from Competitive Cameras in Dallas. They said they had more available if anyone is like me and giving in to gear purchases at the end of the year
Most of those who pre-ordered the Mk II are only just now starting to receive their copies, so none of us here is in a position to comment on the setup/combo, much less, comment on the C-AF speed and accuracy. We all know that the AF speed is freaking amazing (faster than any other camera) but the ability of the Mk II to accurately track and maintain focus is not entirely clear ... and my feeling is that it's not quite up to DSLR standards in terms of consistency and reliability. At least I don't think it is - but it's possibly 75-90% as good, depending on your skills level and experience with shooting BIF.

It is my understanding that you can't get continuous AF when in Pro Capture mode. Sort of defeats the purpose of trying to keep focus on a subject that suddenly starts to move.
Am I missing something? Around the 3-4 minute part:

No, you are not missing anything. In pro capture AF is locked with the first shot.
Sorry ... what I meant to say is that none of us here is in a position to definitively comment on the setup ... but one can still express an opinion or thought.

In Pro Capture Low you get CAF, only in high do you have focus locked. Low is still 18fps so it's crazy fast! The only downside so far is the evf sort of stutters while buffering shots.

Well that is good, since otherwise it would be next to useless for a subject moving away from a motionless position.
Do you have a link to that info, or is it in the downloadable owner's manual?

That is the +$10,000 question. I'd love to sell my Canon gear and recoup a lot of money, but I don't think we will be there yet.
IMO, the CAF accuracy and speed are great and the quality is better than the Mark 1. Only you can decide if the quality is good enough to replace the Canon stuff, but I'd be pretty confident about the focusing.
That's a given i.e. we all know that the Mk II is "better" than the Mk I. The question is how much better is it really? As good as the Fuji X-T2 or Sony A6500 ... or is it closer to a DSLR AF speed and accuracy? In terms of AF speed the Mk II blows away the competition ... but in terms of focus accuracy I am not sure if it's even close to say the Sony A6500 or Sony A99 Mk II.

I ordered my MKII from B&H in the afternoon on the first day pre-orders opened. My extra batteries arrived today and when I checked, my MKII shipped. Should be getting it tomorrow. Looking forward to having time to play with it on Sunday.
