According to a friend of mine, the "processing" status mean squat and is not an indication that the order will ship real soon! Apparently B&H will only receive their copies on Monday ... so there is still a chance that I may get it by the end of next week.
BTW I have just ordered an extra battery from Adorama - they have them in stock - but not B&H.

Cool. Mine is hopefully coming soon from Samy's, your neck of the woods.

Sounds right. My B&H account shows the extra battery "processing." There will be no dancing on tables here until they ding a credit card and send a tracking link.
RAW files are designed to contain the widest range of values so as to capture both shadow areas and highlights. I always start with doing a Levels adjustment to truncate the range of values and then do a contrast adjustment. Contrast adjustment will "sharpen" the image as it is perceived. Once these two adjustments have been made I consider the image ready to work on and save this new file as a 16-bit TIFF and then add adjustment layers which are also preserved in the TIFF format.

Olympus fedexed an extra battery to me a week or so ago. Kind of ironic to hurry with a battery for a camera that's not shipping yet.

Many thanks for the info.
Just ordered 2 batteries from Adorama. They are still listed as In Stock.
My E-M1.2 was pre-ordered from B&H, the HLD-9 from Amazon.
I will need an L-plate but I will wait until a generic L-plate becomes available. Luckily the 300/4 PRO tripod foot is an Arca-style foot so we don't have to buy a lens plate for that. This is a really nice touch by Olympus.
Would be nice if they have lens profile support Olympus and Panasonic, but they don't. LR is significantly better now than it was a few years ago. You can merge your HDR images in 32-bit, and stitch panos with Auto Content Aware Fill. What is it about LR that you don't like?

I have LR , but I don't really like it particularly, but I do like how fast they support new cameras!
