That's absolutely awesome, Robert! Way to go! Hope you and Poof enjoy many miles (and smiles) together in your camper. L

Hey Bobby and hey Mitesh!
Thank you both very much
Mitesh I'll post some links to the overall camper-van progression...just remember this camper conversion is by two decades long backpackers who get by with very little--so no Corian, no oak veneer
On returning to the Alligator River we want to but next off week we're backpacking in the Mt. Rogers area, then the next off week off to Ontario, then end of May off to Utah. It would be warm/balmy June before we could head that way I think also she wants to either do the Canadian maritimes in the camper this fall or go to Finland...flip of a coin there.
Here's a page, first image showing the 'control' panel. I'm just surprised everything works-no sparks, flames explosions yet and we did this in 7 weeks a 3 days, and have already had 2 weeks in Florida living out of it and 5 days in the Smokies.
At Merritt Island Poof was driving and I was sitting in the sliding door (open) with my feet on the running boards shooting!
The real beauty is that on this trip to Florida I took a full on EOS kit, a full on Sony kit, and of course a mFT kit along with Poof's....no carrying gear back and forth inside motels and our normal routine would be to get up at 0500, be at the various lakes at 0600, on the water at 0630.....shoot until 1100 then back in the van and drive to the next lake where we'd again meet the guide and get on the camo pontoon boat. That would be until late afternoon, around 1600, so we'd get there early and I crawl up and get a 2 hour nap in while the batteries were charging and/or backing up files there on the spot.
Obviously the camper-van is small, but we can park anywhere and with only 1300 miles on it we still got 19.5mpg (Florida is flat, no way to get that mileage here in the hill country).
So let me know if any of those pages load.... ...Show more →
So the pages loaded?
I'm a bit new to 'blogging' too.
Well we didn't know a thing about any of the stuff that goes into a camper-van conversion.
Cliff Notes on inverter-chargers, solar panels, inter-ties, surge protectors, and on and on and on.
Now we know a little bit, probably enough to be dangerous!
It's ok Mitesh, I've got rich buddies who don't mind slumming with me
In fact next weekend on the backpack trip there will be represented the whole gamut of incomes; once on the trail a five miles from the road wealth hardly matters...who's carrying the bourbon does!
On a side note, per 'conversations' with Brian Wade and Dan Licks I've ordered
a Metabones for EF-->mFT.
Thank you Brian and Dan for the information.
I want to play around with the Canon glass on the Oly M1 ii before I get any older
or more feeble.

Curious about your impressions. Wondering about getting it.
