Taken during my trip to the Sierras last month.
This was a very long exposure in order to get some reflections as the waters were a bit rough.
Taken with the A7RII, Loxia 21/2.8 and the SR app.
Effective exposure was 4.8 minutes (3s + 96 images using the SR app)
Really excellent image and use of this technology. I'm assuming that those glorious clouds would not have been possible without the long effective exposure.
Ah, Convict at its most beautiful! I've never managed to get a decent pic up there, mainly due to the fact that I'm usually too busy dipping a line trying catch a nice trout! Nice work Fred!
This is only available for Sony bodies. Basically my exposure was 3 seconds and I took 96 pictures, The app blended the images in-camera (mean blending) giving me an effective 5 minute exposure. It's a great alternative to using 10-15 stop ND filters since we get zero color cast and no image degradation.

This is a cool shot of Convict lake. The surrounding mountains make for one beautiful scene. The cloud lines really add a sweet touch.

This was my second try at this location. I never really got very calm waters but it could be the time of the year. I wanted to visit these location again during the fall season to take advantage of the Tioga pass.

I think Canon bodies have this built-in as well. I remember playing with it before. It's called Multi exposure. You have to chose "Average". However, it only gives us a maximum of 9 images in total. The Sony app lets me blend 256!
Beautiful image Fred with a lovely reflection and colors. Thanks for cluing me on my camera's extended capabilities too. I got the SR app to try out next time I have a need for a ND filter.
Great photo. Still new to photography and noticed you wrote that this is an alternative to long exposures. Would you be able to do this in post and also what other applications can/should it be used for(waterfalls etc)?

The longer exposure definitely helps with the reflections and clouds rendering.
