I thought I was going to get skunked today. I drove to Kananaskis and I could not find a bear or a moose. So I drove down Bow Valley Parkway in Banff - no luck. Then I drove up to Bow Lake and after I turned back - there was the first grizzly. Then I drove in to NaTinja Lodge to go the bathroom and about 200meters from the bathrooms - the second grizzly. It would have been a perfect day except for no clouds in the sky and tough light. But I am not complaining.
Scott, I always look forward to what you've found. On my one and only trip up the Bow Valley we didn't see a single bear. Bad timing, I'm sure, since it was close to mid day.
KCollett: Lots of snow on Peyto pass area. Just not near the roads. But way less than a normal year. Glad you like them. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
surfnron: Look me up when you come to visit. Glad you like the pictures. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciate.d Scott
soupy: The bears normally come out early or late. On this day they were out at mid day. I think because the only roots to eat are near the road. It will be tough for them for another month. Glad you like the picture. Much appreciated. Scott
UgashikBob: Here the bears don't come out until it thaws up high. Obviously the thaw is happening up high. I am glad you like them. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
oldrattler: Glad you like the job. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
kwilliam8: The pictures are always best when the sun is behind you (3,4) but the bear would not move for me in 1,2 and he looked a little hungry. Glad you like 4th. Much appreciated. Scott
kdacharya: Glad you like 3. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
mikedec: Glad you enjoy them. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
