Here are a couple images taken on Labor Day, while kayaking in the Skagit Estuary. Both images were taken with the D500 camera, the 300mm f/4 PF lens, and the latest 1.4x TC.

My first outing with my latest D500 I just bought specifically for wildlife.
Close up encounter. I'm surprised the lens focused as she was pretty close before noticing me. Her right ear is hidden but that's OK since there is a big chunk missing.

Nice shot. I maxed my auto ISO at 3200 and have found the IQ very useable as long as I don�t have to push the files in post. The DR is also very good.
