Profoto AcuteB battery pack blasting 600Ws up three storeys and focussed with a 13" NarrowBeam dish gives me ISO 200, f/11 and no motion blur of any kind. No ambient, no problem! I can shoot at midnight, and did, although the bird poses aren't too exciting.
LiveView is vital in this shooting mode given the critical DOF of about one beak length at this aperture. Next time, I'll use my bigger pack to reach f/16. You can tell when parentals are feeding a brood: personal hygiene goes to hell. Anyone have a toothpick?
