Great shots! Really like how the D500 sensor is dealing with contrast (look at those deep blacks - nicely done!).
Would you mind mentioning the ISO range(s)? Were they in the 4000-9000'ish region or ? Just curious.
Thanks for the kind words
I tried to include the Exif data but for some reason it did not show up.
All shots were at 1600 ISO taken with my 85mm 1.8 between 1.8 and 2.8
Im really happy with how this camera is producing images. I shoot a lot of photos for my kids high school band. Even on dimly lit fields the images are very good strait out of camera.
I liked the Tamron 150-600mm but the 150-600mm G2 recently released is even better, I highly recommend it.

Anyone using D500 with Sigma 150-600 Contemporary combination and have any issues?
I have been using this, not getting good results especially with full zoom and high iso. So planning to go for Nikon 200-500 5.6
Thanks, I'll give it another go then. Perhaps I was expecting the D500 to perform miracles

I'm willing to bet that the falling snow is the cause of the soft/out of focus images (camera focusing on falling snow).Test again where its not snowing and let us know what happens.

Only 1600 - I was way off! Assumed it would have been higher based on how dark the scene looked. Thanks for the reply.
D500 crop sensor fun on a 600mm f4 AIS with TC-20e III for 1800mm, and then a little more cropping to give you a view at some of the big craters in the south
