Rainbow Lorikeets are very colorful as you can see. They inhabit near us all year round but in the early parts of summer our flowering gum blossoms and they land on it and sip the nectar from the flowers. There is a huge gum tree up the road which has many more flowers but very high up, maybe 30 or 40 feet high, and that tree can get 30 or 40 birds in it at a time! It's a very spectacular site.
