Which is Navajo for Rock with Wings. A sacred place where young men engaged in solitary vision quests. We know it as Ship Rock. I was happy with the atmospherics of my shoot - in BW - and then the sun dropped down below the clouds. Yes!
Hope you enjoy!

All are very nice. Strong and respectful of the land that you saw. It might have been nice if a ray or two of light could have hit the rock in the first image but you hit the motherload with all the great colors in #3.
The 3rd one is fantastic - and classic for today's times. But, I really like the first. The B&W application really brings the drama - very majestic. Something out of an early National Geographic issue. Well done (and glad you kept busy after I left).
Great set of images. I love them all. 2&3 are proof that b/w & color are equally beautiful renditions of the same scene. Like Jim, I have a slight preference for the color version.
