Yesterday I had the opportunity to photograph critically acclaimed and Juno Nominated musician Oliver Swain and his band, the Trio Voltaire. The shoot was very impromptu, and I noticed a couple things after I got home and down loaded the images, but decided to keep them in rather than try to fix them in photoshop, as I think it adds a certain something to the story... The whole thing in happened in less than 5minutes... The guys were great fun to shoot, and their music was superb, in the spirit of Django Reinhardt.
Here's a link to a song of his, which is less in the spirit of Django... but very good.
I was pretty happy to have the opportunity to get these shots... I was at a 55+ exhibition on tuesday and was there to shoot portraits of make-over subjects... the band was providing entertainment during the show, and this shoot was very impromptu. If I was to do it again, I would me a few small changes, but mostly do what I did again.
Thanks for taking a look and taking the time to share your thoughts!
