Fred, a fantastic photo. I never seem to be able to see a "bad"photo of Yosemite but that's probably because each photo brings back so many memories of great times spent there throughout the years. There's always something just a tad bit special about a good B&W photo....a throwback perhaps but for me, no matter what the scene, B&W just seems to bring out so much more detail. Once again, great photo and thanks for the share.
Thank you all for the comments and feedback. I agree that is hard to take a bad picture in Yosemite. I'm so lucky to live 7 hours away but I wish I was closer.

Excellent and unique take on it! I was there a couple days later and could only wish for a scene like this, as well as the ability to capture and process it with this much artistry.
Thats magnificent Fred, love the B&W rendition. It also helps confirm my recent body & lens addition to my bag. I recently added the A7r ll to mu canon gear and purchased the 16-35 fe as my first native lens. Thanks for posting this image and info.

I agree with Chaz. This is gorgeous Fred! Such wonderful tones. I can imagine this as a very large print and standing in front of it with my chin on the floor!
