Being a shut in (not that kind ) all weekend has given me the opportunity continue to process some shots from my latest (about 1 year ago) trip. Hope you enjoy an eclectic set.
Eric
My thoughts; that close up ground hornbill is a killer; a saddle bill in flight; wow.
I'd say pygmy KF; super shoebill just b/c it is a shoebill and there can be no bad shoebills. Nightjar.......you need a lesson in night flash!!! Meerkats; should always post more than one, cause we can't get enough. That leopard is one sweet shot, one of your best and that's a tough field. Looks like Jack's Camp at sunset!!

Thanks Don...I do have more of some of the ones you asked for...maybe another time. Trying to get the night time images and focus is really tough on the jeeps when the guide is spotlighting...I actually prefer not using a flash if possible so as not to flatten the image...the last is from Jack's...a pretty cool place!

Eric, fantastic set of critters I will probably never see unless I take a trip to a well stocked zoo.
Excellent set my friend
-Tim
Thanks Tim and you probably have seen more African birds in California than anyone I know so who knows what'll come your way

Birdie
You are too kind Birdie...thanks...I would've rather been out shooting than processing but at least I cleared up a back log to some degree.

Marvelous fabulous set Eric!
So many favorites I see here!
Meerkat has to be my pick - such a cute little guy photographed beautifully!
Have a great Monday!
BB
Thanks BB and they are as much to spend a day with as they are to photograph...very few wild animals you can really get up close and personal with and these guys do have personality.

Nice set Eric. Gotta go with the bloated hippo as my pic of the set. I swear I think I saw a similar balloon at the Albuquerque balloon festival
Kevin
Thanks Kevin...if you want to see a real ballooned out hippo I have photos of one that died and looked like the Michelin man all bloated with gas...not pretty.

A great set with great variety Eric. Really too many good ones to pick, but the fish eagle is such a beautiful raptor that it stands out. Do you know what the Shoebill eats - with that massive beak, it must use it for crushing something ~ Ron

killer set Eric with a great variety too. I love the saddle billed stork as I've never seen one IF before.
Thanks Herb...seeing the saddle bill in flight was a first for me so glad I got a few snaps as it flew overhead.

Thanks Ron...the Shoebill's favorite food is the lungfish...so a prehistoric looking bird eats a very unusual fish.
