Every winter, I try to get out and do at least one fantasy snow queen/snow princess styled shoot for fun. We don't get snow often so I try to make use of it when we do. This year, the Flagstaff area got almost 3 feet of snow - we were trudging through snow that was past our knees to do this shoot. My daughter is such a good sport about this! Here are a few of my favorites. I wanted to portray her as a mysterious, regal snow queen of the forest. All images were shot with the 5Diii and 200L. The sun flares are all real (I was being accused of faking them on my business page). We started shooting just as the sun was setting behind the trees behind her and finished with her facing the settings at the end (the images in the pink dress). Thanks for looking!

I like them in general, but not some of the best work I've seen you post here....I'm not wowed by these like I am a lot of work. #3 is probably my favorite from the group.
Big nit on the last picture with the "metallic effect" is the elastic strap on the mask. Her hair should've been placed over the strap and that part of the mask.
Yeah, exquisite, love two and six, the eye make up makes your daughter look very different, those two photographs have a very painterly feel to them, I'm thinking a touch of Vermeer, lovely stuff again.
I like the way it seems that fire is coming out of her hand in #4. Sort of a magical feel.
Tastes differ, but the proportions felt off in #1.
I love the face decorations, especially in #2 and #7. I won't claim any expertise in the area, but I don't remember seeing anything like the decorations in #2. I'm not even sure what to call them.
With regard to #7, I love the mask. I'm wondering, though, if the necklace is distracting from the mask. There is also a tension as the styles are different.
I thought you said your daughter had been running from the camera? Or am I remembering incorrectly? She seemed to be pretty into this set.
