I came here hoping for a way to still acquire the Smooth Reflections App, but am glad I stumbled in, because Adam's script may be the answer. I had an A7rII a while back, but never got the app. Now I'm getting another A7rII for a trip to Scotland where I plan to take many many landscapes, but just discovered the app is no longer available except for those who already had it.

One question, My ADHD brain and reading directions can be....less than adequate at times, does there exist a video tutorial on the install and usage by chance?

Regardless, appreciate the effort and availability for sure!

I tried to make the readme in my Github repository as helpful as possible. You may hit a few pain points getting it set up initially but it's really not bad and you'll really enjoy the results. Here's a link to the Github repository again for reference:

Hello,

I'm prototyping a Mac app that stacks raw files and produces a DNG as output. It is a purely raw workflow—the latent image is never "developed" or demosaiced, and the output file is a true raw file. In that sense, I believe it's similar to Sony's Pure Reflections workflow.

My app is fully self-contained and does not require that the raw files be converted to DNG. In fact, it does not require you install any third-party software at all, such as Adobe's DNG converter.

I thought there might be interest among participants in this thread. If you'd like to try it, please PM me with your email address. I'm looking to share it with a small number of people at the outset.

Cheers,

Michael Allman
