p.2 #1 · Announced: RX1R II with 42MP sensor and EVF
Finally a small 35mm camera with leaf shutter, viewfinder, and hotshoe. Now we will be able to use outdoor fill flash at 1/2000th without lugging around huge studio stobes. The Rx1 could almost do this, but not quite since there was no viewfinder if you were using the hotshoe for flash. No viewfinder = impossible to use outdoors in sunshine. Previously our only alternative for outdoors was one of the 1" cameras (RX100/RX10/FZ1000, or Hasselblad/Mamyiya/Phase MF).
the only way I can see to implement a variable AA filter in a camera of this size would be to vibrate the sensor. I wonder why this feature didn't make it into the A7RII as Pentax were able to implement it by utilising the IBIS system in the K3.
It's done with a liquid crystal in the middle of the AA filter apparently.

Matt they are controlling it by amount of power. Interesting way to do it. They amplify the power up to turn it on. Than reduce to turn it off. We need to read more about it and see if I can find that link I read

Here
Double-duty LPF control for added effect
How does the RX1R II provide double duty that would otherwise require more than one conventional camera? Splitting of incident light flux [1] is controlled by varying voltage to the liquid crystal between low-pass filter 1 [2] and low-pass filter 2 [4] in order to activate, deactivate, and modify low-pass filter effect. LPF bracketing simplifies comparison of LPF effects.
p.2 #8 · Announced: RX1R II with 42MP sensor and EVF
I'd question the megapixel count in a camera of this type? Put in a 24 megapixel sensor but with the same features, drop the price (a lot) and you have a killer travel and street camera. Instead you have a studio/landscape sensor with a fixed lens not that suited for either as a one lens only solution.

I kind of like the MPX I just don't like the price at all. My guess this is directly , squarely aimed at Leica users. Leaves me out and that sucks. Lol
I'm not getting my way here. daddy needs a new toy. ROTFLMAO
p.2 #12 · Announced: RX1R II with 42MP sensor and EVF
I'm very intrigued by this, going to wait on some reviews. I really like my a7rII, just there are times that I wish it was a little smaller and lighter. This would be a nice camera, liked the RX1, but it was too spotty with AF. This sensor + the 35 f/2 would be a great combo.
