Hi everyone,
I finally updated the initial Hot Pixel Removal action created for long exposures without LENR.
It works quite well with Sony A7RII files but could be used with any camera.
Steps:
1) In Lightroom, set Color Noise to "100" and Detail to "0". That will remove color noise from long exposures.
2) Export the image to Photoshop and run the action. There are 3 settings: Default, Medium and High.
The default setting will keep detail intact and the stronger settings will clean up your long exposures further with the expense of a very tiny amount of detail.
Download it and post your before and after.
Best,
Fred
Hi,
Can someone post results?
I just got the a7rii and 15mm voigtlander.
First of all I am very disappointed by the unusable vigneting of this lens with a nd filter.
Secondly, because of this strong vigneting creating dark image, I get a huge amount of confetti noise even without pushing at all the exposure, on a 30sec shot.
This combo is simply not usable. So is this action removing completely the spots without affecting IQ and gradability of the file?
I am not able to test this week (business trip) thanks a lot for answers

Can you post the image with the vignetting you are describing?
I do have version 3
Yes the ultra slim Haida filter create more vignette so I am unhappy, but I am even more unhappy that it is full of confetti in the vignette part without touching the exposure.
I will post when I can because I am in a business trip
