Last Saturday after spending the afternoon/evening in Ontario I took a tour to this old truck to see if I could capture some aurora with it. Storm clouds and light pollution from a nearby town created a very dynamic sky. There was even lightning in the storm but no visible strikes. Hard to believe for early October.
This is a 4 image pano. I used a flash light to illuminate the truck and surroundings along with a yard light. For each frame I would light paint from the left with my flash light on high then move to the right and use it on low for the truck but high for the background elements. I tried to repeat the light painting the same way for each frame so blending would go smoothly. Which it did.
Excellent capture Scott. Very clean light painting. I might even reduce the foreground brightness slight, but other than that I like the mood to this shot! Perfect for Halloween coming up.
