Clearly, the Loxia 85 is great and geared towards landscape in a lot of ways. I don't shoot people and really not interested in it for that, but does anybody have a full body shot at 2.4? Just curious what it can do in that situation. You know, I just scrolled up and see some near full body. Pretty nice.
* 10 kms from one of the world's largest glaciers - the Siachen leads down from the centre of the range. Hidden in a small alcove under the Karakoram giant's wall are the small fields of barley that sustain the tiny gompa's staff.

I thought the Siachen valley was off limits to foreigners?

It can tastefully do full body with people in different environments, which is sort of what I'm looking for. I have the 25 and love it. I've owned a couple of MF Voightlander lenses which have the same sort of sharpness, but truthfully my experience is the 25 has a unique hard to describe smoothness I prefer. Maybe the 85 does too.

Yes the Loxia 25 is something special, and the Loxia 85 appears to have a similar rendering, but the focal length is far removed from the 25mm. I had the Loxia 35 and 50 which I sold in a system switch, but they don't have the same smoothness as the Loxia 25 and I will not be re-purchasing them. I am a bit torn between the Voigtländer 50/2 APO and the Loxia 85. I prefer the 50mm focal length, but the Loxia 85 has that special look and would be a perfect match with the Loxia 25..
