Great picture! Just wait til the bay area turns green again, I thought the Loxias shine the most in lush green landscapes like we have in our woodlands.

I've never been a huge fan of the 50mm focal length for 35mm-size sensor and film. I don't know why, it just is hard to think with. So, I've been making an effort with brands I like the imaging from, especially Zeiss Loxia and ZE lenses. It's been rewarding, and I'm glad I haven't yet sold them. Here are a few more from the Loxia 50, which is particularly beautiful wide open (who knew?).

I can all but reach out and touch the depth all over that first image. Amazing/mesmerizing.
I never cease to be amazed by the consistent excellence of your images and by how copiously you produce them. The colors are always fabulous and the compositions and choice of subject matter manage somehow to be both classical and stately but very fresh and original. A wonderful body of work.
