Have my doubts we will ever see another Loxia lens.
The 21mm 2.8 remains one of my most used lenses even though I am not sure considering today's alternatives it would end up in my bag again.
Lately I enjoy for automotive photography, an area where I did not expect I will be using a 21mm lens often.
Could I ask what other 21mm you would rather be using today?
Have been looking at 21mms for ages and there is indeed a wealth of choices. I find myself quite partial to the voigtlander 21mm 3.5 for the price, size, sunstars and colour.

Welcome to the forum
Take a look here, you'll see examples of the VC21 3.5 used. Your correct, for price, size, sunstars and colour It's a very good choice.

If I didn't care about sunstars the Sony 20mm 1.8G would be really hard to ignore.
The Voigtlander 21mm 1.4 has too massive vignetting for me at wider apertures,
but seems to perform better in some areas than the Loxia (whereas in others it doesn't)
and is a full 2 stops faster (at least in the center...).
Voigtlander 21mm 3.5 also seems like a decent lens, but does not impress me much.

What's a cabbage palm tree doing in Wash state ? Didn't know they grow in that zone !
** edit** I just looked up the growing zones and it says 8b through 11, interestingly it appears the coastal area of Wash is 8a, so I guess it's feasible for it to survive there.... Interesting !!!
Good catch! I was surprised to see it growing here, too! Yes, it is very rare to see a palm tree this far north. We are pretty mild here in the winter, but it does freeze, and every twenty years or so, a really strong freezing winter. To be clear, this is the south-facing part of the house, so maybe just enough protection and heat reflection?
Same with various yucca and other dry/warm plants -- odd to see them here. I know yucca is pretty tough, but it's hard to believe seeing them flower here.

Nice. Curious - how did you sharpen?
I’m not sure I did to be honest - if I did at all, I would have taken the sharpening slider in capture 1 to about 220 tops. I think Loxias are plenty sharp for my liking sooc.

Thanks. Really amazing clarity on those ice shots.
Cool shot! Love the vertical and one horizontal 'line' in this one. Also, cool car. It would have been cooler if it were a 993 but hey a 718/Cayman is as close as you can get these days
