Found some unexpectedly clear-ish skies with some auroral glow, fog and Venus rising last Tuesday morning. Shot with D800e + 20 f/1.8. Location: Mendenhall Lake, Juneau, Alaska.
Man, you pulled of one killer aurora shot. Have shot many aurora storms, including recently with fog, I can say you had some rare conditions here. Great photo. A touch more contrast getting the darkest area to black would help IMHO. Either way super image!
How strange! If you hadn't said this was an aurora I would have thought you just used a green filter on this one. This is a really different type of Aurora to have just turned the whole sky green. You found a really nice composition to go along with that green.
