I agree seems like it is dragging out through the full refurb warranty period. I will be requesting that they extend it from the whenever I get the lens back seeing it did not work correctly when received and was only sent right back for proper repairs.
Oh, what a bad packaging job. If it was like that when it left Nikon, it may just be a bad packing, and is stuffed with bubbles, etc.. At the same time, shame on them. It does not give customers confidence in their work, nor show how much they care or be proud of their job. If it got ripped in transit, it can be worse though.
I got an Irix 15mm and it shipped FedX. The outside packaging looked about the same except for no one tried to tape it back together. The lens inside had no bubble wrap and was promptly returned.
A quick Pano test with the 24mm 1.8.
Seems to not be the best option for a handheld pano as it tends to have a lot of misalignment and seam tearing. 5 images vertical.
