I find it to be a very disconcerting image. My eye and my brain tell me the water should flow down and out - opposite to what you have. I have to stop, look and think. I like it.
The HDR and the branch don't bother me at all. The concept of shooting at the very top edge of the waterfall is fantastically executed. My eye however goes to the downstream creek which appears to flow uphill. If there was a way to change the perspective to make it appear normally downhill, I think it would be great, as it stands now I stare at that aspect of the photo instead of enjoying the other parts of it.
I usually don't find down water fall shots real appealing or great - but this one is fantastic - great detail and color is it a HDR or Stacked focus shot - It is really appealing
Fabulous, exciting, dynamic, spectacular, awesome, incredibly beautiful, mind blowing photo. Other than that I'm at a loss of words to describe your masterpiece! Thanks for sharing.
I appreciate the creative perspective, but the post processing does not work for me. Portions of the image have an obvious HDR look to it and certain portions of the waterfall lack proper dodging/burning.
Absolutely amazing perspective! I agree that the post-processing is a little heavy, but I'm really not one to talk when it comes to that. Seriously though, one of my favorite shots I've seen so far.
Fantastic! Were you roped in? I was looking down Paloose Falls a while back and wished I'd brought my climbing gear and plan to return with it to get something like this.
