Hi everyone!

I'd like to get some criticism on a couple of photos I shot over the weekend

Hard to comment when they're 75x75pixels. Color tones look interesting, that's about all I could say.

Edit -- looks like the picture size is fixed.

I like the lighting, it is sufficient for a good but dark (along with the theme) exposure.

Fixed! My apologies, I'm kind of a newbie when linking pics from Flickr! Sorry!

Bizarrely beautiful. Q: is the ghosting of the flames due dancing in wind currents during longish shutter speeds?

Hi! The Ghosting is in fact from the long shutter speeds, but I really wasn't looking for that effect when shooting. Just luck I guess

2nd from the last is my favorite of the bunch. It takes a minute to figure out what is going on and adds a very creepy effect to the photo.Don't get me wrong the others are good, but if creepy was the intent, 2nd from last nails it.

All are interesting, but the next to last one (the bw) is my favorite. The face, the pose, the smooth background bokeh, the fact that her legs seem to disappear. It looks like a nightmare in an abandoned factory. I love it!

For me the second to last has the most impact. Very creepy, like out of a horror movie creepy. Good job!

What do you think makes a picture creepy then guys? Is it the poses combined with a special post process technique?

Thanks!!!! Love the feedback!

I like this set very much, but find your down-low perspective more successful than those shot from above. Your second to last, as others have said, is easily the strongest. Really well done.

Would any of these two make the cut as creepy as well?

When I posted earlier, the 2nd to last wasn't showing up. That is definitely my favorite of the set.

The mask is quite interesting and, at least on my display, the way it stands out so well it starts to look less like a mask and more like the actual face of the figure.

Shovels are a nice, and morose, prop in this last one.

This last b&w does have a similar eerie quality as the previous one, but to a lesser degree. I also like the shovels. The ones with the candles look like a ritual of some kind. However the b&w ones without candles seem to be more effective for me. The second to last one in the first set stands out as the one that works best. It would work well as a cd cover for a punk or alternative band.
