All are beautiful. #1 is more 3D and that orange sunset area is stunning without a hair of blowout. I would crop it to the top of that sliver of rock at the bottom just to the right of center, only because I think it draws the eye in more to the incredible sunset area and highlights in the water. #3 is incredible as well. I might prefer #2 in a 4 x 5 format, so that those awesome wet rocks with highlights would take up more of the photo, cropping off the right side. I wish they were mine!
I prefer the second image. There is a cleaner crop around the rocks and the foreground is more interesting. The large rock on the left side of the frame has more light on it then in the other shots and this also helps with bringing out details. Flash could have achieved the same impact without having to wait for the clouds to move.
Difficult to know where best to cut rocks in half in shots like these. Much easier when there are rocks in sand and so the issue does not arise.
I can see that you are really enjoying your 7Rii. Overall a nice set of images. Number 3 is my favorite, I wouldn't change a thing. I like the composition of number 1, but it feels over processed to me, whereas number 2 could use a bit more saturation. So if these were my images I would aim for something between the two and reprocess #1. I really must consider getting the Sony, I'm just not completely satisfied with my Canon gear for landscapes.
Lovely. The cloud depth and light peeking through on the left adds more character to the first image, for me. I agree with the comment that the first image is more about the sun and clouds and the second is more about the rocks. But as long as we are getting picky, the rocks are really nicely rendered on the second image, but there isn't a distinctive "take home" feature, whereas the depth, color, and pattern of the clouds in the first image is imprinted in my brain.
