It's sunset and a male (one of 4 pride males) from the kusini kopje pride, begins to stir by yawning to a wonderful and complimentary rising full moon.

One can almost hear this pride male say "this is my home....... my kopje kingdom".
It's dawn with a full moon in the sky and another new day awaits this pride male, one of 4 that dominant the kopje pride.

Newborn take-a-way
The matriarch Hyena carries off her freshly captured baby Gnu. Dramatic scenes such as this don't always happen at dawn/dusk, with a lot of patience out in the hot midday sun, I was rewarded with capturing the full chase & take down sequence..............hyena are often brutal killers.

One Cheetah mum's successful Thompson's Gazelle hunt.
This web presentation/size doesn't do this justice unfortunately, it has come up very well printed 1M wide @ home above my office.
Very fortunate to witness 6 successful Cheetah hunts during my 3 week sojourn, mainly thru sheer perserverance and staying out ALL day, when most go back to camp for lunch.

So many superb shots, Marc! Hard to pick a favorite as there are quite a few that I would be happy to have hanging on a wall. Looks like a fantastic trip. Very well done and thanks for sharing.
These are outstanding photos! Your only quandary will be to find enough walls to hang all these beauties! Very well done. I love the silhouette of the three giraffes as well as the lion with the moon in the background, and all those cats with young, they are all terrific.
Fantastic set, esp. the cheetahs and dogs; my faves!
And lunch is definitely overrated! You can certainly get great cheetah action mid-day. Kudos for staying out (not kudus).
