The matriarch Hyena carries off her freshly captured baby Gnu. Dramatic scenes such as this don\'t always happen at dawn/dusk, with a lot of patience out in the hot midday sun, I was rewarded with capturing the full chase & take down sequence..............hyena are often brutal killers.

Very fortunate to witness 6 successful Cheetah hunts during my 3 week sojourn, mainly thru sheer perserverance and staying out ALL day, when most go back to camp for lunch.

Very fortunate to witness 6 successful Cheetah hunts during my 3 week sojourn, mainly thru sheer perserverance and staying out ALL day, when most go back to camp for lunch.

Very fortunate to witness 6 successful Cheetah hunts during my 3 week sojourn, mainly thru sheer perserverance and staying out ALL day, when most go back to camp for lunch.

It\'s dawn with a full moon in the sky and another new day awaits this pride male, one of 4 that dominant the kopje pride.

The matriarch Hyena carries off her freshly captured baby Gnu. Dramatic scenes such as this don\'t always happen at dawn/dusk, with a lot of patience out in the hot midday sun, I was rewarded with capturing the full chase & take down sequence..............hyena are often brutal killers.
