Thanks Lance! I had the first one identified as a Crimson Finch but was stuck on the second..... and you are correct! It is indeed a Shining Flycatcher (female) and now I can put it in my database..... thanks for your help!

Our cattle egrets are slowly making it back into the fold. Saw about 40 today
stretched out along the ditchbank. Stay tuned for in-flights, great suckers to
practice on. Breeding plumage will last a couple of months, but they'll be pure
white by Summer.

I just finished looking at my images from this weekend's birding trip in the Northern Territory of Oz and realized that this shot was taken at ISO 12800, which is the max I've set for my D750. I rarely keep images shot at 12800, but was amazed at the detail captured by this body with the Nikon 200-500VR in extremely low light.

Here's a companion shot taken on the same shoot as my last post, this time with the D7100 and the highest ISO I'll accept on the Dx body.... 3200. I might be able to get away with one more stop with this lens....
