While there are not nearly as many colourful birds in New Zealand compared with Australia, this Kaka has some interesting colours buried in those feathers...

Experimenting the 200-500 at MFD (~2m); the flower had ~2cm or less of diametre.

Blue tit bringing food to its young in a nesting box in our garden.
This oak branch is used as a staging post so the bird's movements were predictable.
It got used to me being nearby with the 200-500VR.
Love this lens.
