I don't believe I've shot this lens stopped down before. I was focused on the sun-drenched side of the path on an incredibly bright morning when, of course, a kinglet shows up on the other in blazing backlight. Shame about the extra DOF, but I was happy to get some bright fall colors in this otherwise dark & dreary fall.

I've finally returned to Australia to include the 200-500VR back into my kit. I must say, the Sigma 100-400 filled its place quite well during my summer in Canada, but the sharpness and VR of this inexpensive Nikon gem is hard to beat.. here's a juvenile Kookabura shot from about 20 meters away...

Great work everyone! Seeing Pixel Perfect's Fairy Wren captures reminded me of a pair of mating Wrens I caught a few days ago in fading light, after the sun had set. Despite the poor light (5,000 and 10,000 ISO), the lens (and D750) managed to capture respectable detail....
