I am about to pull the trigger on this lens. How has the build quality been? Looking at the other "gear-head site" there seems to be a few threads on zoom breaking issues.

Looking through the fantastic work in the tread makes me want this lens! Thanks for all the examples!

It has very good build quality. Just get it. You'll not regret it. Nobody does.

A D850 would have given me a better composition as this is the top of the frame.....hmmmm.....

And the 2nd one also would have been saved by the D850 as that is the full image (no crop)...double hmmmm....

Out the Window ..... American Goldfinch

Very busy; have not been out and about much.

For me, when shooting a telephoto, this D850 has a steeper learning curve than my D500.
And that was expected.

I shot a bunch of these today and this was about the best.

Tried Qc mode and got what seemed to be the same results as CH.
