except this was the original high cloud burn I was after. There hasn't been a lot of coastal burns in NorCal lately (not a lot of clouds either).
Techy Stuff: I blended 3 shots. 1 for the sky, 1 for the water and 1 for the rock. Shot with Canon 5D MK II /w 16-35 F4 L IS. Edited in PS Cloud and TKACTIONS.
Beautiful picture and wonderful composition! I think that a slightly faster shutter speed could have brought out more detail in the water in the foreground.

Its a really nice shot. as I scroll down to see it though, I think it works a little better with slight crop from top and bottom.

Thanks for the input Kevin. I'll look at other crops before print.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, I don't have any other exposures with a faster FF speed. Truth be told the wave action wasn't planned ahead of time. Going back now I would've shot with a faster shutter speed, but I do like the sense of motion this one gives.
I like your image a lot. The leading lines take the eye right where it should. The patterns are complimentary and the colors nicely balanced.
If I had one small crit, for me, the foreground seems a bit hot. My eye goes there immediately. The eye is then lead to what I consider the main subject. Like I said, small and just my opinion.

Beautiful sky colors, I like the dynamic of the wave coming at viewer.
Did you got wet ? Wave look big coming to you...

I sure did. Part of the charm I love photographing the coast. I just love the ocean!

Nicely done!
Thanks Michael on the Crit. I had burned down that area but I guess the white foam areas do seem a bit whiter. I might go back and touch that up.
