I'm trying to test how to get the full resolution photo to upload from Flickr without it being downscaled, but displayed as a smaller image. Right now it appears, at least to me, that if you copy the BBcode from Flickr for a 1024x683 pixel image, it will display as such on the forum. But the quality is not the same. It is slightly fuzzy looking. And if you click on the image, it will show a slideshow view, but it will still not be the full size image.
Now, the code will have some part of it starting with "img" In the second image below, I have used the full resolution link from Flickr by copying the provided BBcode. However, I have replaced "img" with "img width="1024" height="683"" and voila. You can see the full resolution image displayed smaller without it being compressed/downscaled, and without it being too big to see all at once on the screen.
Appropriate size for the forum by just copying BBcode from Flickr (I believe this compresses image quality when displaying):

This is an old thread but I had issues posting here after I got a 5K screen. I need to export at least to 3600 on the long side so the monitor didn't upscale (or whatever it is doing) and create jaggies. I was having the same issue even via Flickr. I finally found that if I imported the full sized file to Flickr and used that full size BBC code this site resized it ad it looked good.
Files were still a little big. With more testing I seem to have found a magic number with my R5. Exporting at 2048 on the long side and using FM to host is providing pleasing looking files. I'm not sure why but it is working at my end.

This thread was helpful to figure out how to post here using images from Flickr. The cool thing is that I can manage my public images all from Flickr, at least I think I can (haven’t tried it yet). So, if I want to remove an image from Flickr and here I just remove it from Flickr and it’ll stop showing here too. Imma gonna test this out as I like the ability to manage my online images easily.
