The fall colors of Patagonia are some of the best I've ever seen. However, trying to capture this beauty was (at least for me) a big challenge - especially under the canopies of the larger forests. This is my attempt in trying to capture what I was seeing outside of El Chalten (on the Argentina side of Patagonia).

Thanks everyone for the comments. If you are in to fall colors then you should strongly consider Patagonia in mid April.

love the muted colors and atmosphere here.
Thanks Carl. I tried not to go overboard on vibrance and saturation. In fact I toned the colors down a tad.

What a smorgasbord of autumn colours. Very nice!
Scott - having lived in Quebec for the last 8 years I was fairly accustomed to beautiful fall colors. But to be honest Patagonia blew me away - and these colors stayed on after some fierce winds as well.

Nice choice of framing & the stump anchor.
And yes, the colors are lovely!

Thanks - I was stumped on composition until I found this stump with a clear foreground.

Hi Dave,
This is very nice. Good work on the composition as forest shots are never easy. I think you found form out of the chaos here.

Thanks Jim! (and I will be answering your PM soon)
