I think this is a nice scene in soft light. Those rocks are quite sensitive to any harsh light.
Good job.

It was Jeffrey and the last light of the night before was not to shabby either.

Wonderful image Ben! I would say it was well worth the effort you put into capturing this shot.
Those fantastic clouds really bring this entire image into balance and the early light is a killer here!

Nice shot!

Ben, is this with your new UWA? A very compelling image. Well worth the effort an discomfort of the weather.

Yes, my new 11-24, but at 24mm. It was worth it for sure and I plan to return next year.

Beautiful work Ben. I went back to this shot after viewing your newer Sunset posting. What a great trip to capture two such beauties.
Question: I've not been to this viewpoint, so are you looking west towards the Henry Mtns. (on the left side of the horizon), or is that Navajo Mtn? Don't see the mountain there in the Sunset shot.
At any rate, great work! Ron

This is about 5 miles due west of Dead Horse point. Right at the canyon edge and I belive facing due south. If you look at the full size, you see the part of the White Rim road just as it branches off from Shafer/Potash. That would be lower right.

This is 24mm while the sunset is 13mm, so this shows less terrain.

This is a great place, if you Google Marlboro point, you can get more info.
