Got a chance to shoot a bit of skating the pst two nights at the new skatepark.. Nice setup. Haven't had a chance to really go through the shots but these stood out. Most are from last night when it was super overcast. Played around with B&W on one and a cross process on another because they were kinda drab due to the overcast..
All shots with 1DMKII, 15mm fisheye, 550EX Flash off camera, hand held. A couple of the shots I used two 550EXs. One off camera in hand as master other as slave on coping. You can see which are double flash..
nice brother. Cool setup there at SV. I like the first the best. So damn sharp and colorful. All are nice, but the first really stands out - even though it's an ass shot
sorry if this puts any doubt in your mind but have you noticed the "sensor spot" on the far left of the pictures? It's located about halfway down. Might wanna blow some air in their to clean it up Thank goodness it's an easy fix
Very nice pictures, nice lighting. I plan on getting a setup with flashes like that to use with my kit lens. I have one quetion maybe off subject but you should know. Can you use the 550ex with the off-shoe cord and a 420ex as a slave?
Thanks all. Pretty stoked on some of the shots. Nice to have something to shoot when the waves are small. Where was this park in the summer when we needed it?
chris78cpr - the cross proccessing is done with two curves adjustment layers..
CanonShooter88 - Thanks for the heads up. I'm aware of the spot. I need to do a sensor cleaning, but I've been lazy. Easier to just clone it out on final images before printing..
Burger_BMX - I only own 550EXs so I'm not sure if you can use the 420 as a slave, I don't know much about that flash. If it is capable of being a slave i don't see why it wouldn't work with the 550 as master..
EDIT: Burger_BMX - Just read that the 420 will work as a slave, but not a master. It can receive the signals but not send it.
