Wow and wow, Steve. You were fortunate to be pinned on the "wrong" side. More of the light show could have been overwhelming, plus the color on the ice is what makes No. 1 so gorgeous!
@Glenn - It was a lucky spot to be sure. I knew I liked the composition, so I set up early at that spot. I'm just glad it all worked out. One of my luckiest images by far.

It could have been much colder, I think it was almost 30 degrees during the day, at night it dropped a bit, but it really wasn't too bad at all. The worst part was the slick ice - I had to start YakTracks to my boots and even then it was dicy. One slip into the water and you'd have no way to get back up.
