StonePhotog most of the time it is just Riv+Commlite+300PF.
With the Riv it is so easy to push a programmed button, in my case the trash can, and go into
crop more for the effective 1.4TC without the light penalty. In the crop mode's 26mpx the pixel density
is still greater than the D850 or my a6400.
I use the Riv for perched obviously, and two weeks ago in Fl for the long walks (like hunting the Scrub Jays) with the 70-300. At the venues where BIF was certain and the goal I used the a9+200600 with and without 1.4TC but I'd have the Riv along as backup. It's proven BIF capable to me but the a9 is just easier.
Beauty....I'm patiently waiting the return of the goldfinches to my yard this spring....
Even though I have a million photos of them, it is always addicting when they show up again to retake those million photos
