Two more from the canoe...
I couldn't make the 200-400 work with the tripod because of the strong current, so I went hand held with the PF. These were all shot without a converter and handheld... the real beauty of this lens is comfort of working when a tripod is not practical.
Three more photos taken with the D500 and 300mm pf. They were taken at Lotherton Hall which has a small enclosed area mainly dedicated to birds although they have recently added a penguin pool. The orange beak bird is a inca tern a couple of whom were residing in the penguin enclosure.
Nice job on these!... You just have to like the flexibility of this little lens!
On a side note, I just drove through that neck of Washington as I was heading home from a 16 day road trip w/ my tiny camper-trailer (Minneapolis to Teddy Roosevelt NP to Glacier NP to Canadian Rockies to Olympic NP... and back to Minneapolis). That region of Washington was a wonderful surprise, strikingly different from the coast and cascades. I hope to move to the Peninsula in a few years and am looking forward to exploring the entire state.
cheers,
bruce
