Just got the tc-14e III for this lens. Took a few snaps with it and really impressed with the quality. Hardly deteriorates the image quality at all. Can't wait to get out and take a few shots other than ravens.
Taken with D4S and 1.4ii converter on the side of a nasty icy canyon in Utah. This lens has quickly become one of my favorites and is a joy to hike with.
Great shots everyone. I am having problems with mine . Focus is very inaccurate and I think it may be decentered . Sending Nikon pictures and copy of FoCal report.
Snowy day. River is getting busier each passing day as the birds return. Still about 2.5 feet of ice on the lakes so the river serves as a temporary stop while the lakes open up. The next month will be great for me for birding!
From a quick scouting trip to Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, the following images were taken with a Nikon D810 and the Nikkor 300mm f/4 PF lens with the latest Nikon 1.4 teleconverter.
For those of you interested, Malheur NWR is open, with the exception of the Headquarters area (which is still being restored). I will go back there in the fall and spring with longer glass, but the 300mm PF lens was a great short lens to get a few images while doing a quick one day scouting trip.
