1-how about some strong backlit pictures?? They say it would flare like crazy because of the freshnel elements!! That is what everyone are worry about!! Big ugly flare in back sunlight!
2-Did you compare the af speed of the old 300 f4 vs 300 f4 fl?
The pictures look very good. Nice background isolation. Have you done any landscape or objects at infinity or far distance? How is the lens wide open and what about the corners vs the center? Any issues with flare? What do
you think about the IQ in comparison with the old 300 / 4.0?
I could pick up my 300 4.0 PF on monday and would be happy to get some feedback before. To invest 2000,-€ is
not cheap and it would be great if you could leave some general comments helping to qualify the lens.
I still have and try to keep the 70-200 2.8 VRII and the 70-200 4.0 VRIII but one lens has to go if I will take the
300 4.0 PF.
