I wasn't sure what I wanted to post for my 20K milestone but the obvious hit me in the face. While I try to post other wildlife photos my passion has always been and will continue to be big cats. So, I decided to post some of my favorite images over the last 34 years...there was a big gap from 1980 to 2001 but I have since made up for it I suppose.
This forum has meant so much to me over the years as you have all put up with my shtick as well as my penchant for Africa and big cats in general. Over the years I have been so lucky to meet and or communicate with many on this forum. It is unfair to single out individuals but certainly Tim K, Karl, Conrad, Morris, Birdie, Henrik, Ant, Socrate, Tom S. and the those no longer with us, Charlie and Dave from La have had a profound effect on my photography as well as being amazing people. I am sure I have left out others and hope you do no feel slighted
There was just too much material to include in this one post so I decided to do something a little unique....I will be putting up some of the images as photos and then I have made a slideshow video that I hope you will watch and enjoy.

let me be the first to congratulate you on this milestone and to say thanks for all these wonderful big cat pictures.
On a personal note, Eric you are great guy and you have no hesitation in sharing great photo tips. Thanks for spending the time to teach a newbie like me.

Congrats on the 20k cat posts Eric. And that is just this particular post . Hitting 20K is a great milestone that signifies lots of quality pics and responses to the postings of others (I know I certainly appreciate being a recipient). And for you, a few excellent family moments too - climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro comes to mind immediately. I sure hope you hang in there for another long spell yet, as you are a positive contributor and I look forward to seeing your offerings. Cheers Eric!!

Hi Eric,
It was fascinating watching your photography grow from the beginnings of your cat work. The entire presentation including the video was a delight to view and nearly as good as sharing your enthusiasm when we are out shooting together. Most of these photos produce an emotional reaction and that's special. Congratulations on 20K contributions to this wonderful community.

My friend, congrats on the 20k. It's been a heck of a ride so far. And we are no where close to the end. 😄. It truly is a pleasure to have you here....and better yet when you come out my way. One of these days we're going to connect for a road trip as well.

Glorious set of images...and congrats on reaching 20,000...although I haven't been here as long as some of the others, I've never had any problem putting up with your shtick as you put it...and always look forward to seeing another set of images from you...so keep them coming...and lets hope the next 20,000 are as good as the first.

Many thanks my friend...we have shared many great moments out there and hopefully many more to come. I do try to have my images be more than mere snaps or documentary shots...sometimes it comes through I guess.

Mark, thank you so much....the forum is a two way street...I am happy that you and others derive something from my photography but what I get back in camaraderie, and helpful cc make this a special place to hang out.
