Curious, have any of you had to fine tune your Tamron with your D750 or D810 for a sharper image at 600mm?
If so, what setting did you find best? Thanks!
I have played with fine tuning but ended up with default settings. Learned that most of the time my shots were blurry because of the user error. With good light, keeping the ISO under 1200 and a shutter speed of 1/1000 and faster, I get nice images...

Fine tune is specific for each camera/lens, there is no setting that works best... On my D800 I'm at -8 and on my D7100 it was +3. Up close makes little diffference, but the further away your subject is the more impact fine tune has..
I bought the lens yesterday and I'm just now finally getting some time to play with it. Just some test shots in the back yard with the wife's flowering green onions. No where near as cool as Kristofer's bird photos!
Looks like I'll have some difficulty in deciding between the Tamron and Sigma (C). For a while I was leaning towards the Sigma, mainly because I possess the dock, but these images are making it very tough. I do like the the low CA of the Tamron, which can make a big difference in perceived sharpness. Guess I'll have to give myself a little more time
